Guides

Four ways to start a REA session.

Each guide is one sitting. Approve the setup plan before any client config is written. The npm package is rea-agents.

01

Install, then read doctor.

Run npx rea-agents@latest setup. Node 22.19+, 24.11+, or 26 and newer. Node 23 and 25 are outside the supported range. Then run rea doctor and restart the coding agent. The full command and client list are on Get started.

02

Ask about one feature.

Give the agent a program and one question. Ask for the file, line, or address behind each sentence. If the report omits a behavior, say it is still unknown. How it works shows the three-step pass.

03

Read a HAR you already saved.

A saved HAR can be inspected offline. REA strips authorization headers, cookies, and credentials embedded in URLs before the report is shown. Do not paste a live session token into the question.

04

Open a native binary with one engine.

Install Ghidra, Hopper, or IDA yourself. Hopper has no Windows build. If doctor says the engine is missing, stop there. REA will not pick a substitute. Surfaces for JavaScript, Android, and .NET metadata are listed on Tools.
